It's January again, meaning everyone is trying to start fresh and make some changes in their life for the better. Some people are trying to eat healthier, exercise, spend less money or be more productive, but these things get harder with life getting thrown in the mix (aka kids, work, laundry and the list goes on). So this January, VerClare has a few tips and tricks for getting off to the right start this year!
Make Meals a Little Quicker
Meal prepping has gotten pretty popular these days, and though sometimes it can be hard to find time to prep the meals, it can help you with your New Years goals. To make the week a little easier, set aside a day or time each week to prepare meals (like lunch), which can save you time in the morning, encourage you to have healthier meals, and can save you money so you don't run out to buy lunch on your lunch break! Here is a recipe that is perfect for lunch and only takes 20-30 minutes tops! Plus it is a healthy option, and it is vegan in case anyone is starting this year off with this change in their diet!
This is called the, Cold Sesame Noodle Prep Bowl, and it is sooo good! It's simple to make, you just boil the noodles, make the sauce and throw it all together. Theres the option of spiraling your own veggie-noodles (the recipe uses zucchini noodles) but you can always save yourself some time and buy some at the store. This is a lunch that tastes good and can help keep you on track to your new years goals. (or just save you some time!)

At Home Workouts
Let's be honest, not everyone has the time (or motivation for that matter) to go to the gym every day to get a body like Jillian Micheals. We know you ladies are busy, so we found a quick at home workout that doesn't require any gym equipment that you can try to squeeze in between the many things you do each day.
This is a full body workout that shows you how to do exercises and tells you how many times to do them. Everything can be modified, and you can do the workout whenever you find the time.
A tip for staying on track with workouts is to try and schedule it into your day. By making it a part of your daily or weekly schedule, and trying to prioritize that time for yourself, you are more likely to get in a workout, even if it means having to wake up a few minutes early to get it done before the kids have to get up for school!

I didn’t set resolutions because there’s just too many goals I want to achieve and honestly they’re a bit unrealistic. This body isn’t getting back to pre-baby shape and my toddler will probably continue to refuse anything but mac n’ cheese.🤣 But my goal is just to cook a little better, excercise a few minutes, and strengthen relationships, including with God. And just be grateful for small progress❤

I love this Verclare inspired blog! I bet a lot of this can relate to this! I’m always looking for new recipes and this looks absolutely delicious-I plan on making it soon.
This new year I am working on getting more organized and purging through everything in my house!

I’m locked into at home workouts and I’m always looking for new things to add in to my routine- so thanks! When I do the strength training excercises like you’ve listed above, I can get them in while the kids are eating breakfast or lunch since our living room and dining room are right next to each other. This year my resolution is to balance workouts with bible reading- if I’m running, I’m reading! Always appreciate new food ideas- thank for this!

As soon as this weather clears up I’m going to the store for a spiralizer and all the ingredients to make this recipe. It sounds so yummy and I’m needing to add some variety to my lunches. I love this post that mixes up the blog content a bit. Thanks for sharing!
